John de Burgh was born circa 1290.1 He was the son of Richard de Burgh, 2nd Earl of Ulster and Margaret (?).1 He married Elizabeth de Clare, daughter of Gilbert de Clare, 6th Earl of Gloucester and Joan of Acre, on 30 September 1308 at Waltham Abbey, Essex, England.1 He died on 18 June 1313 at Galway, County Galway, Ireland.1
