Sir Edward Grey, 1st Lord Ferrers (of Groby) was the son of Reynold Grey, 3rd Lord Grey (of Ruthin) and Joan of Astley, Baroness Astley.1 He married Elizabeth Ferrers, Baroness Ferrers (of Groby), daughter of Sir Henry Ferrers and Lady Isabel de Mowbray.2 He died on 18 December 1457.
He succeeded to the title of 6th Lord Astley [E., 1295], by writ.1 He was created 1st Lord Ferrers, of Groby [England by writ] in 1446, jure uxoris.1
