Miles de Courtenay, Seigneur de Courtenay was the son of Josselin de Courtenay, Seigneur de Courtenay and Elizabeth de Montlhéry.1 He married Ermengarde de Nevers, daughter of Renaud II de Nevers, Comte de Nevers and Ida de Forez, circa 1095.2 He died after 1145.2
He founded the Cistercian Abbey of Fontaine-Jean.2 He gained the title of Seigneur de Courtenay.2
