Lambert I, Comte de Louvain was born circa 950. He was the son of Reginar III, Duc de Haute-Lorraine and Adèle de Toxandrie.1 He married Gerberge de Basse-Lorraine, daughter of Charles, Duc de Basse-Lorraine and Adelheid (?).2 He died on 12 September 1015, killed in action.1
Lambert I, Comte de Louvain also went by the nick-name of Lambert 'the Bearded'.1 He gained the title of Comte de Louvain.1 He fought in the Battle of Florennes on 12 September 1015.1
