Ruth Ella Hoffpauir

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000. She was 75, a resident of Baton Rouge, former resident of Destin, Fla., and a native of Crowley. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 1p.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Donald Tabb. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband, Vincent Sharpe, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Michel and Nelda LeBlanc, Sulphur; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nanette and Ulf Peterson, Peachtree City, Ga., and Yvette and Danny Price, Baton Rouge; three stepchildren and spouses, David and Mary Sharpe, Memphis, Tenn., Diana and Bud Winchester, Pensacola, Fla., and Dana Sharpe, Valdosta, Ga.; grandchildren, Shelley LeBlanc, Baton Rouge, Ashley LeBlanc, Stephanie Williams, Alisa LeBlanc, Amanda and Alexandra Peterson, all of Peachtree City, Heath Price, Blake Price and Cole Price, all of Baton Rouge, Wendy and Mike Williams and Staci Sharpe, all of Memphis, and Larry Dowell, Pensacola; great-grandchildren, Carter Vincent Sharpe, Memphis, Larry Dowell, Pensacola, Jessica Costanza and Katelynn Hunt, both of Baton Rouge; a sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Leonard Habetz, Crowley; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Rene Hoffpauir, Lake Charles; and a brother, Buddy Hoffpauir, Crowley.
Preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Hoffpauir; and mother, Estinna Hoffpauir Larson. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church and The Chapel on the Campus. She was a past member of New Comers Club and current member of the Encore Club. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice Foundation of Greater Baton Rouge or The Chapel on the Campus Youth Ministry.
