Burial
Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Norris Eddens Hoffpauir, 89, who died February 18, 2011 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles. Rev. Gary Evers, assistant pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church of Lake Charles will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Indian Bayou Cemetery. Mr. Hoffpauir served his country during World War II. He was a member of the U.S. Army 256th Combat Engineers. He participated in the invasion of France, Germany, and Austria. After his military service he worked in the oil field and retired from Reed Tool Co. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Iva Morgan Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; one daughter, Cheryl Kay Hoffpauir Pennisson and her husband, Darrell of Lake Charles; one son, Jamie Neville Hoffpauir and his wife, Ronda of Zwolle; one grandson, Cullen Norris Hoffpauir of Zwolle; two step-grandchildren, Heather Hutchinson, and Bronson Loring both of Houma. Mr. Hoffpauir is preceded in death by his parents, Neville and Elena Boulet Hoffpauir; three sisters, Matilda Spell, Irma Hoffpauir, and Annie "Sis" Morgan; and two brothers, Leamon and Bruce Hoffpauir.Endnotes
