SULPHUR - Funeral service for Arthur Curtis Hoffpauir, 97, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Lake Charles, under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Hoffpauir passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, in his residence. Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today, in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. Friday in the church. Mr. Hoffpauir was born on Nov. 10, 1907, to J.T. Hoffpauir and Azlee Richard Hoffpauir in Louisiana. He resided in Sulphur. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of the Mason organization. Mr. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Georgia “Tootsie” Hoffpauir; one daughter, Olive Faye Hansen; two sisters, Gladys Richard and Marie Morgan formerly of Sulphur; and two brothers, Arnold Dailey formerly of Sulphur, and Murrel Dailey, formerly of Houston. Survivors include his children, A.J. Hoffpauir of Sulphur, Virginia Wade of Lafayette, and son-in-law, Charles Hansen; seven grandchildren, Janice Kounter, Fritzi Fralick, Jack Hansen, Cindy Dowers, Chuck Hansen, Kara Leonards and Kyle Wade; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
