CROWLEY — Funeral services for Nora Spell (Sarver), 81, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Northside Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Lloyd Singley will conduct the services. Interment will be in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Born in Ridge, Nora Spell (Sarver) had lived in Crowley most of her life. She was employed as bookkeeper at Morgan's Nursing Home in Crowley for many years. She was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church for approximately 50 years where she taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery. Survivors include one son, Danny R. Sarver and his wife, Jane, of Saucier, Miss.; two daughters, Bonnie Sarver Hoffpauir and her husband, Asa, of Westlake and Brenda Sarver and her husband, Dwight, of Indian Bayou; one brother, Jessie Spell of Crowley; one son-in-law, Robert L. Henry of Indian Bayou; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shirley Sarver Henry; one brother, James L. Spell; and two sisters, Ethel Spell Hoffpauir and Dora Spell Morgan. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Visitation hours were observed at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8 a.m. today until time of the services.
