INDIAN BAYOU - Funeral services for Vida Hoffpauir Vincent, 80, of Rayne, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church in Indian Bayou. The Rev. Truman Stagg will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Indian Bayou United Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou. A resident of Rayne, Vida Hoffpauir Vincent passed away at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Vincent is survived by her husband, Preston Vincent, of Rayne; five stepsons and spouses, Elton Leon and Della Vincent, of Mobile, Ala., Roy G. and Maria Vincent, of Germany, Ross and Judy Vincent, of Many, Lonie and Pam Vincent, of Washington State, and Dannie and Lynn Vincent, of Dry Creek; one brother and spouse, Richard and Carole Hoffpauir, of Lafayette; 15 stepgrandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; three nieces; and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amanda Foreman and Tuby Hoffpauir; one brother, Donald Hoffpauir; and her first husband, Ellwin Foreman. The family of Mrs. Vincent wishes to especially thank the caregivers, Janelle, Belinda and Sara, for such a wonderful job, Our Lady of Lourdes Home Health and Hospice of Acadia. Visitation hours will be from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. Sunday until time of the services. Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne is in charge of the arrangements.
