Burial
Obituary: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 12:00 PM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, Louisiana for Richard D. Hoffpauir, age 68, who died on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 9:00 PM in the St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Interment will be in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou, Louisiana. Reverend Weldon Bares, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carole H. Hoffpauir of Lafayette; a daughter, Kim Owens and her spouse, Alan Owens of Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Todd Hoffpauir, accompanied by Kim Colarusso, both of Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Tuby Hoffpauir and his mother, Amanda Foreman Hoffpauir; one sister, Vida Lee Foreman and one brother, Donald Hoffpauir. Born on December 4, 1943 in Judice, Louisiana, Mr. Hoffpauir was a resident of Lafayette for 38 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Hoffpauir worked for Amoco Oil Company and Tenneco Oil Company in Administrative Management and was also employed at Newfield Exploration Company as Intracoastal City Base Foreman. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette. Pallbearers will be son-in-law, Alan Owens, nephews, Scott Hoffpauir, Sam Hoffpauir, and Jim Foreman, and dear friends, Joey Livaudais and Ron Legé. Honorary Pallbearers will be his favorite cousin, Butch Spell and dear friends, Russell Arceneaux and Wendell Bares. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 12 PM.Endnotes
