Obituary: SNIDER, Ruth H.
Funeral services for Ruth Hoffpauir Snider, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 in Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is 10-9 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. Tuesday.
A native of Indian Bayou, she lived in Lake Charles more than 61 years. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She worked with the Council on Aging, was on the board of RSVP and a member of the LaGrange lunch bunch. Survivors include three sons, Robert "Bob" Snider, James "Jim" Snider and Steve Snider, all of Lake Charles; two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Connie) Young of Lake Charles and Mrs. Richard (Debbie) Taylor of Moss Bluff; two brothers, J.D. Hoffpauir of Lampasas, Texas and Vaughn Hoffpauir of Vidor, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. LCAP 2/22/1999
