Alden "A.C." Spell, 81, of Buna died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, at Buna United Methodist Church with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Buna under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the church. A native of Ridge, LA, he had lived in Buna 29 years and was a retired rigger-mechanic from DuPont Sabine River Works and a retired salesman for Morris Moore Chevrolet in Buna. He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Spell of Buna; son, Lane Spell and wife Linda of Buna; 2 daughters, Debra Spell and Donna Ardion, both of Buna; a brother, Verley Spell of Hartburg; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
