LAFAYETTE -- Funeral services for Evelyn Hoffpauir Carr, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, in Delhomme Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Carr died at 4:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, in her residence. A native of Lake Charles, she was a resident of Lafayette for the past 38 years. She received her bachelor degree in education from Northwestern University. Having worked in the Calcasieu and Lafayette parish school systems, she retired after teaching third and fourth grades for 20 years. Survivors include one son, Russell Carr of Broussard; two daughters, Nancy B. Carr and Roxanne Carr, both of Lafayette; two brothers, Raymond Hoffpauir and Kenneth Hoffpauir, both of Lake Charles; and two grandchildren.
