Burial

Obituary - Nellie "Nell" Rose Morgan, 77, of Lake Charles died at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs. Morgan was born in Bell City and has lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She was a 1951 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lake Charles Auto and Electric for many years. She was a charter member of Tom Hebert Baptist Church in Lake Charles. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline's Quartet for women and enjoyed singing and entertaining for family and friends. Survivors include two daughters Jackie Gillespie and husband Richard of Longville, La, and Julie Custer and husband Russell of Lake Charles, one sister Velma Dailey both of Lake Charles, two grandsons Joshua and James Custer both of Lake Charles. Mrs. Morgan is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Morgan and her parents Louis and Mattie Hoffpauir and one grandson Mark Gillespie. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Elder John Manning will officiate. Burial will be in Hayes Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 8:30 AM until the time of services.
