Miss Pamela Nevard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacques M. Nevard, was married here this afternoon to W. Bruce Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Phillips of Setauket. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by judge Patricia Collins of the Nassau County District Court. Mrs. Joscelyn Godwin was matron of honor and Miss Rita Levine, maid of honor. Dorn Wilcox Ulrich was best man. The bride, former associate editor of the First National City Bank's Citicorp, a magazine, and Consumer Views, attended. King George V School in Hong Kong and the American 'School in Karachi, Pakistan, and graduated from Vassar College. Her father, transit communications coordinator of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, was a former correspondent in Asia for The New York Times and deputy police commissioner of New York City. Mr. Phillips prepared at the Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., graduated from Duke University and is a candidate for a doctoral degree in linguistics at the Graduate School of the University of Illinois.. He served three and a half years as a linguist in Chinese with the Army Security Agency. His father retired from the music business.
