Death

Funeral services for Catherine Hoffpauir Leger, 59, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Ebenezer Nazarene Church. She died 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at her residence in Morse, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at the Geesey-Ferguson funeral Home in Crowley, and the funeral will be at the Ebenezer Nazarene Church at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Bro. Hershel Patterson will conduct the funeral service (assisted by Dr. Rowdy Daigle) and the graveside service at Estherwood Cemetery. Mrs. Leger was born Jan. 6, 1948, in Crowley, to the late Emmett and Nora Thompson Hoffpauir. She was a freelance Court Reporter all of her life. She loved gardening, traveling, sewing, her cats, and spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her husband, Ronald "Doo" Leger of Morse; a son, Peter Jon Leger and his wife, Christy, of Crowley; two daughters, Crystal Lei Dickinson and her husband, Michael Shane of Jennings and Candace Rae Leger of Morse; a grandson, Jeremy Paul of Morse; two sisters, Bonnie Richard and her husband Ray, and Debra Hoffpauir, both of Estherwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jessie Bageaux; and three sisters, Niny Hoffpauir, Margaret Romero, and an infant sister, Elizabeth Hoffpauir.
