Death
Obituary: Hayes - Willie Hoffpauir, 76, passed away, Sunday, May 7, 2006 in a local care center. He was born in Kaplan and was the owner and operator of Willie's EXON in Hayes. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and an honorary member of FFA. Mr. Hoffpauir was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include three sons, Willie R. Hoffpauir and wife Carol of Friendswood, Tex.; Steven Hoffpauir and wife Collette of Lake Arthur and Jared Hoffpauir and wife Joetta of Hayes; five daughters, Sandra Lognion and husband Benny of Holmwood, Kathryn Fontenot and husband Ronnie of Grandlake, Peggy Harrington and husband Blaine of Holmwood, Susan Granger and husband John of Sweetlake, and Pam D. Derouen and husband Keith of Hayes; one brother, Lawrence Hoffpauir of Hayes. One sister, Alice Guidry of Bell City, nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Rev. Bert Borrell officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Monday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Monday. Interment will be in Hayes Cemetery.
