JAMESTOWN, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Aucoin Wiley, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2004 at Jamestown Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Griffith and Rev. Larry Wiley officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Bayou Scie Methodist Church Cemetery near Zwolle, LA. Visitation will be at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA on Sunday afternoon, March 21, 2004 from 3 p.m until 7 p.m. On Friday, March 19, 2004, Margie Aucoin Wiley went to be with her Lord and Savior after an extended and heroic battle with leukemia. She is survived by her husband, Arvis Larry Wiley, whom she married May 7, 1949, in Shreveport, LA; three daughters, Theresa Lynn Wiley of San Antonio, TX, Karen Renee Wiley of Lafayette, LA and Glenda Wiley Rhees of Little Rock, AR; two grandchildren, Michael Anthony Wiley of San Antonio, TX and Taylor Brooke Bernard of Lafayette, LA; two great grandchildren, Bryce Anthony Wiley and Jordyn Lissett Wiley, both of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Howard Lowell Aucoin and his wife Danita of Sardis, TN; two sons-in-law, Jim Wiley and Brian Wiley Rhees; her granddaughter-in-law, Emely Elizabeth Wiley, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ferdnand Aucoin and Gussie Thelma LeBlanc Aucoin; two sisters, Thelma Guimbellot, and Lottie Mae Hickman; and her brother, Gerald Aucoin. Pallbearers will be Jim Wiley, Brian Rhees, Russ Wiley, Van Wiley, Gary Wiley, Aubrey Norcross and Larry Wiley. Margie was born in Shreveport, LA on January 9, 1932. She attended high school at Fairpark High School, and she was able to graduate by obtaining her GED in 1985 at the age of 53. She and her family lived in Bossier City, LA; Orange, TX and Lafayette, LA, until her husbands retirement in 1981, when they settled near Jamestown, LA on Kepler Lake. Her passions were her church, family and friends, but she was an avid bowler, loved cooking and was always trying new recipes. She was an active member of Jamestown Baptist Church since 1982 and her family wishes to extend a heartfelt "thank you" for all the prayers, warm wishes and loving acts of kindness to all of her church family there.
