Obituary: Gueydan: Funeral services for William C. "Billy" Hoffpauir, 52 of Lafayette, LA will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Father Corey Campeaux officiating. Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 2:30 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until the time of his service. Billy will be laid to rest in St. Anthony Cemetery. William "Billy" was born on November 2, 1961 in Jennings, LA to Norma Broussard Hoffpauir and the late Warren Edward "Big Black" Hoffpauir. He was called to his Heavenly father on Friday, June 27, 2014 in Lafayette, LA. William "Billy" was a mechanic and loved working with metal. He loved spending time with his family and friends. William "Billy" is survived by his mother, Norma Broussard Hoffpauir of Gueydan, LA; Kathy Walls of Moss Bluff, LA; one step-daughter, Sara LeDoux Williams of Moss Bluff, LA; two brothers, Keith Hoffpauir of Gueydan, LA and Chad Hoffpauir and his wife, Karen of Port Barre, LA; and two nieces, Chloe Hoffpauir and Kelsi Hoffpauir both of Port Barre.
