JENNINGS - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Miguez Funeral Home for Elmira "Totsy" Naquin Stackhouse, 84, who died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Deacon Ed McNally will be officiating. A native of Jennings, Mrs. Stackhouse lived in Kaplan 12 years before moving back to Jennings for the last 72 years. She was a graduate of Kaplan High School. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Joe Kincel, of Lafayette; son and daughter-in-law, Everette E. "Gene" Stackhouse Jr., of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mary R. Hoffpauir, of Lafayette, and Wilda Faulk, of Abbeville; five grandchildren, Christine Kincel Jenkins, of Lakeland, Fla., J. John Kincel III, of Lafayette, Alison Kincel Debnam, of Houston, Gregory Eugene Stackhouse, of Houston, and SPC Jeffery E. Stackhouse, of Ft. Benning, Ga.; and five great-grandchildren, Rachel E. Jenkins, of Lakeland, Fla., Benton J. Jenkins, of Lakeland, Fla., Taylor J. Kincel, of Lafayette, Julia C. Kincel, of Lafayette, and Holden M. Stackhouse, of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. and Elmire Freyou Naquin Sr.; her husband, Everett Eugene Stackhouse Sr.; five sisters; and four brothers.
