Burial
Obituary: Francis R. Duhon Funeral services for Francis R. Duhon, 78 of Newton, Texas will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Janurary 12, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home in Newton with visitation on Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm. Mr. Duhon went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013. He was born in Mont Belvieu, Texas on October 19, 1934. He graduated from East Chambers High School, served in the U. S. Army and graduated from Lamar University in 1964. In July of 1957 Mr. Duhon married Newton native, Carolyn Campbell. He worked for Texas Gas in Winnie before moving to Newton in 1967 and co-owned Campbell Oil Company. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Willie M. Duhon, Sr. and Eula Gladys Hoffpauir Duhon, step-mother, Theresa Duhon and brother, Donald Duhon. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Campbell Duhon of Newton, son, Keith Duhon and wife, Rosa of Sugarland, Tx, daughter, Karen Duhon Riddle and husband, Jeff of Richardson, Tx, brothers, W. M. Duhon, Jr. of Winnie, Tx and Robert Duhon of White House, Tx, sister, Lola Duhon Landers of Roanoke, Va, sister-in-law, Becky Campbell of Longview, Tx and grandchildren, Gabi, Grace and Brandon Duhon and Ryan, Amanda and Blake Riddle.
