Bert Francis Alexander

Born Checotah, OK on June 23, 1918 and passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital on May 16, 2005 at age 86. Resident of Mokelumne Hill for 22 years. A native of OK., Mr. Alexander grew up in Oklahoma & Texas. He joined the Army in 1940 and served in the Army Air Corps and the Air Force before retiring in 1960. After retirement, he moved his family to Fair Oaks where he went to work for the County of Sacramento until his second retirement in 1979. After retiring, he moved to Mokelumne Hill and has lived there since. He was a member of the F&AM Amador Lodge #65 in Jackson, The Scottish Rite, the Gold Star Chapter #66 of the Eastern Star, Jackson United Methodist Church, a life time member of the NRA, and 2nd Air Division Assn. Survived by spouse Shirley Alexander of Mokelumne Hill, CA, two children Helen Alexander-Woods of Stockton, CA, & Raymond Alexander of Kelseyville, CA, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Memorial service at Jackson United Methodist Church on Sat., May 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Contributions can be made to Amador Lodge Scholarship Fund, P.O.
