CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church for Celie Pearl Spell Hoffpauir, 85, who died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, in Bayou Village Nursing Home. The Rev. Charles Floyd will officiate the service. Visitation may be observed Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Leonard Hoffpauir, of Crowley, Guary Hoffpauir and his wife, Carol, of Galliano, and Cecil Hoffpauir and his wife, Judy, of Iota; two daughters, Dorothy Mitchell and her husband, Wayne, of Nashville, Ga., and Celie Lejeune and her husband, Reynolds, of Crowley; a foster son, Carl Trahan, of Belize, Central America; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Hoffpauir; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Spell; two sisters, Viola Spell and Jewell Marx; three brothers, Rhule Spell, Gerald Spell and Claude Spell.
