"My sister says Irene was a older sister of James'. She came to live with them when she was elderly. She did not marry. She should be buried at IB, but can't find her listed. There is an unmarked tombstone next to James I. Hoffpauir" Bonnie Hoffpauir Rives. The 1900 census shows an Alice I. Hoffpauir, b. Mar 1882. Since she meets all of the requirements of the missing "Irene" Hoffpauir, I have concluded they are the same person.(CRH Oct 1998) Linda Hoffpauir Trahan has recently indicated that there is now a marker on Alice Irene Hoffpauir's grave at the Indian Bayour Methodist Church Cemetery (CRH July 2006).
