Burial
Obituary: Reverend Willard Haywood Hoffpauir, 84, of Sulphur, LA, died at 7:15 PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in a local hospital. Rev. Hoffpauir was born June 14, 1933 in Lake Charles, LA and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic by trade and pastored numerous churches throughout the country, settling at Bible Missionary Church in Sulphur eighteen years ago. Rev. Hoffpauir was a true man of God who loved his Lord, his wife, and his family. Rev. Hoffpauir is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Helen Hoffpauir of Sulphur, LA; children, Darrell Lynn Hoffpauir of Brandon, MS, Peggy Cary and husband John of Sulphur, and Jerry Lee Hoffpauir and wife Theresa of Fort Gay, WV; brother, Norman Elmer Hoffpauir of DeRidder, LA; sister-in-law, Pat Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Dylan Hoffpauir, Clinton Cary and wife Gina, Stuart Cary and wife Kimberly, and Cory Hoffpauir; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Hoffpauir; parents, Clinton G. and Jessie Faulk Hoffpauir; sisters, Kathleen Pennick, Audrey Triplett, and Neva Hoffpauir; brother, C. G. Hoffpauir; and grandson, Andy Hoffpauir. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Bertrand will lead the service. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.Endnotes
