Obituary - Clinton George Hoffpauir, Jr., 80, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006 in his residence. Mr. Hoffpauir was born in Ebenezer, LA, and attended LaGrange High School. He worked as a clerk for 35 years for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Hoffpauir was a member of Bible Missionary Church. He loved woodworking, carving, gardening, and his poodle, Espy. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jo Thomas Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; two sons, Joe David Hoffpauir and wife Karla of Beaumont, TX and Kenneth Brian Hoffpauir and wife Judy of Nederland, TX; daughter-in-law, Diane Hoffpauir of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Rev. Haywood Hoffpauir of Sulphur, and Norman Elmer Hoffpauir of DeRidder; two sisters, Neva Hoffpauir and Kathleen Pennick, both of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Abby, and Brian Hoffpauir. Preceded in death by his parents, Clinton George Hoffpauir, Sr. and Jessie Viola Faulk Hoffpauir; his son, Thomas Clinton Hoffpauir; and sister, Audrey Triplett. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Blaine Shaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the local Bible Missionary Church Building Fund, 601 Laurel Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605.
