Will
In the name of God amen, I, Thomas Bailey, being sick and weak but of sound mind and memory do make my last will and testament in the following manner. In the first place, I give and bequeath all my Estate of what kind soever it be, to my son Charles Bailey in consideration of the dutiful assistance he has given me in my old age. Item: I constitute my said son Charles Executor of this my last will, hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made and solemnly declaring this to be my last will. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 15th day of September 1771. Sign'd sealed and acknowledg'd his by the Testator afores'd Thomas X Bailey Seal in presence of us ....... mark Dabney Carr Garland Carr her Sarah X Woolbanks mark April the 18th 1775. This day the within will was acknowledged by the testator Tho.' Bailey. In presence of: Sam'l Carr Richard Allen At a Court held for Goochland County October the 16th 1775. This writing was proved by the oath of Sarah Woolbanks to be the last will and testament of Thomas Bailey dec'd. and thereupon admitted to record.WILL: Dated 15 Sep 1771. Proved 16 Oct 1775.
