Note1885According to an obituary in the Narandera Argus & Riverina Advertiser 7 Nov 1947, Ben & his family moved from Wagga Wagga to Narrandera in the 1880's & he was first employed as a cab driver & stable attendant for the Victoria Hotel. Later on he acquired a team of bullocks & moved to Grong Grong where he was known as the "big gun carrier", hauling wool, timber & produce around the district. At one stage he had 3 bullock teams
