Paul "Dickie" Medlin Jr. of Lexington, North Carolina passed away August 23, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Dickie, as he was known to those who loved him was born January 6, 1946 to Paul and Arlene Martin Medlin, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mabe Medlin, son, Paul D. Medlin (Teresa), daughter, Tosha Briles, stepchildren, Chris Hill, Debbie (Tommy) Gordon, Mark (Janet) McDowell. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dickie is also survived by a brother, Mark Martin and sister, Saundra (Michael) Riggs. Dickie loved working with his hands and was very skillful in woodworking. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC. A Celebration of Life will be announced at future date. Thomasville Funeral Home is assisting the Medlin family.
