Briles, 71, of rural Poneto passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren.Mrs. Briles was a homemaker and attended Keystone United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Chester Center High School.Born on Jan. 9, 1935, in Keystone, she was a daughter of Arthur Ramseyer and Hope (Tuttle) Colbert. Her marriage on Sept. 14, 1952, in Keystone was to Glen "John" Briles, who survives.Other survivors include two sons, Danny "Punk" Briles of Keystone and John Briles of Huntington; three daughters, Connie Heaton of Pennville, Mrs. Rock (JoAnne) Rockrow of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Charity Reed of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, Rex Ramseyer of California and Dexter Falk of Bluffton; a sister, Donna Lugar of Keystone; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Herring.Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Glancy Funeral Homes - Walker Chapel, Montpelier, with Rev. Steve Sutton officiating.Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday, all at the funeral home.Burial will be in Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier.
