Mr. John Ross Summey, 84, of Meridian Place was reunited with his wife in death on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at WFBH High Point Regional Medical Center He was born in Randolph County to the late Lonnie Elwood Summey and Mary Elizabeth Walker on April 29, 1934. He will be remembered for his love of family and good heart. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death his wife, Callie Jean Hughes Summey on December 9, 1978, and wife, Mrs. Frances Bernice Irene Sobota Summey on March 5, 2019; his step-daughter, Deborah Frum and husband Chuck; six siblings, Charlie Wade Summey, Ruth Hancock, Ruby Kindley, Austin Summey, Roby Summey, Russell Summey. Surviving are his three step-daughters, Janet Kindley and husband Lee of Thomasville, Sue Baisden and husband William Sr. of OH, Kathy Bibus and husband Frank of Thomasville; his son, Steven Summey of Thomasville, step-son Jessie Lee King II of FL; two sisters, Bessie Mae Lambeth, Frances Ann Hughes and husband Buck all of Thomasville; several grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2019, 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Darrell Summey and Rev. Chris Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow at Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. The family will receive friends Monday night 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
