Myra Lynn Kennedy, 61, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at her residence.
She was born September 14, 1957, in High Point and was the daughter of the late E. Lenton and Mary Elizabeth Royals Kennedy. She attended High Point University and worked at Ciba-Geigy for several years before becoming a caregiver for her mother. She was always supportive of her son and his endeavors and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Lynn was an active member in her community providing a “community watch” for her neighbors and was very active in the recent sheriff election campaign. She also enjoyed yard work and was artistic and crafty while decorating for the holidays.
Lynn is survived by her son, Chris Kennedy, of Trinity; an uncle, Bobby Royals of Trinity; two cousins, Taylor Wedge and family and Lindsay Royals; and her furbabies, Angel, Oscar, Roger, Raegan, Pacey and Elrod.
Graveside service celebrating Lynn’s life will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Amy Coles officiating.
The family will speak with friends at the cemetery following the service.
