Funeral services for Betty Louise Briles, 82, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday at Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, IN. She passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015.
Betty was a longtime volunteer with the Girl Scouts. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Opal Lear; two brothers, Jesse Lear and Edward Reynolds; and sister, Virginia Lamb.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack Edward Briles Sr.; four children, Jack Briles Jr., Virginia Goodhue, Jay Robert Briles and John Evanston Briles Sr.; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
