Billy Ray Summey, 63, of Sunrise Ave. died peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center.Billy was born December 8, 1951 in Davidson County a son of the late Calvin Lee Summey and Lois Gordon Summey. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and employed with Hill’s Farm and Garden and had worked with the Davidson County School System, head football coach at Brown Middle School from 1974 -1978 and Cornelius Heating and Air.Surviving are his sons, Sam Summey and his fiancé, Amanda Clark of Thomasville and Jay Lee Summey of Thomasville. One sister, Kathy Ernest and husband James of Fort Mill, South Carolina; two brothers, Wayne Summey and wife Brenda of Lexington and Kenneth Summey and wife Patsy of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Allyson Lee Summey and Rhianna Brooke Summey and several nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel 122 W. Main St. Thomasville with the Rev. David Washburn officiating.
