Death

TRINITY-Norma Canoy Pierce, 92, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
She was born on July 4, 1926 in Randolph County, to the late Devie and Winifred Spencer Canoy. A resident of this area all of her life, she was a homemaker, and was a member of Flint Hill Community Church. Norma enjoyed working in her flowers and going to the beach. Her true love and passion was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Jink Pierce; her sons, Boyd Pierce and Dale Pierce, and a foster son, Michael Pierce.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Pierce and Danese Pierce; her brother, Joe Canoy and his wife, Jackie; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a number of great-great- grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Norma’s life will be held on Wednesday afternoon, January 23, at 2 o’clock at Flint Hill Community Church, with Reverend Mike Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, January 22, from 6 until 8 o’clock, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
