Death
Golda Juanita Jenkins, of Wellington, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her home in Wellington, at the age of 82.Golda was born the daughter of Milo F. and Etta Elizabeth (Angle) Briles on Saturday, Dec. 29, 1934 in Amorita, Okla.
She owned and operated the Pee Wee Lounge in Haysville, for many years and after selling the business, Golda enjoyed a 20-plus year career in the Haysville School District at Oatville Elementary School.
Survivors include her nephew, Kevin Phillips and his girlfriend Melody Goodman. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Dean and Garold Briles, sisters: Imogene Ramey and Lois Phillips and nephew, Kelly Phillips.
Funeral services for Golda will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Belle Plaine, Kan.
A private interment will be held at the Kechi Township Cemetery, Kechi, Kan.
A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
