1850 Davenport census shows Hiram Olmstead with wife Minerva Cook lived between homes of John C. Bresee with wife Catherine and John C.'s brother Christopher with wife Phoebe and 2 childern ( e-mail from Pat Gilbert).

Linda Bresee's study dated 2003 shows that John C. Bresee was named in the school records as guardian for Hanna 5 and Timothy 4, childern of Christopher.
