(Abt 1714 - 1785)

Hendrick Bresee & Elizabeth Schurtz's children do not match those shown in study received from Kenneth & Georgia Bunny.

Pat Gilbert e-mail 21 Dec 1999 indicates Hendrick Bresie first married Sarah Andries from Bergen in 1711 (dates do not match) then married Eliz Schurtsen at Tarbush 1738. Per "The Palatine Families of New York" by Henry Z. Jones, Jr. page 945: Anna Elisabeth Schurtz, born 25 Aug. 1720 in Taar-boss married Henrich Bresie.

Note from Phyllis Kinzie dated 27 May 2001: "History of Egremont" shows Christopher plus the Widow Brazee as two of the first residents of the town in 1761. The deed for the Mt. Washington land was dated in 1757 and both Hendryk and Christopher had a part of that land. Therefore Hendryk may of died before 1761." There were two other brothers involved with this land purchase: Andry and John. The "Widow Brazee" could have been married to these other brothers.

1759 among the first settlers to West Stockbridge, Berkshire Co., MA, were Christepher Bresee and Henrick Brasee (see Revo Morrey study Mel.07_26.jpg).
