See Donald Goodwin study "The Bresee Family" dated Aug. 1984, page iii, received from him Dec. 1996. "In 1796 Christopher Bresee with his wife, Hannah Hinman, moved to Pittsford, VT, and made it their home. Also in the 1790's Peter and Nicholas moved there. Their names appeared in the census of 1800 along with Christopher's for that town. Around 1802 Peter with his wife, Mrs. Sarah Bresee, moved on to Brockville, Ontario, Canada, while Nicholas with his wife, Charity Hopkins, moved to Sutton, Quebec, Canada in 1804. The Peter and Nicholas Bresee were the two who were the ancestors of the Canadian Bresees."Endnotes
