From American Ancestors: Salisbury HR 1708-10, 12, 15, 24; selectman 1693, 95-97, 1700, 19-22; capt. 1710; M Mary French (1663-1725) in 1683 and Mary (Cheney) Worcester (1671-1759) in 1726, 11 ch; house carpenter, trapper, land speculator, farmer. As an active citizen of the town, he joined fellow townsmen in petitions to the legislature. In the 1724 HR, he was instrumental in presenting petitions for the relief of suffering citizens.
