Downer dated 1900, page 17: Robert Downer, house carpenter, first of Newbury and later of Salisbury (probably son or grandson of Robert of Wiltshire), died at Salisbury 12 Feb. 1720-1. He married 6 may 1675, Sarah, daughter of John and Martha (Rowlandson) Eaton, of Salisbury. She was born 28 Dec. 1654, and was admitted to the Salisbury church 17 Sept. 1693.
