(Abt 1643 - 9 Dec 1711)

See "The Connecticut Nutmegger" dated June 1993 Vol. 26 pages 6-8 showing research that William Tomlinson was thought by author Orcutt to be a nephew of Henry and was nearly the same age as Jonas, and indeed, witnessed Jonas' inventory. As the Vital and Probate records show, this William Tomlinson had three sons... William Jr., John and Isaac.

See "Henry Tomlinson and his descendants in America, with a few additional branches of Tomlinson, later from England" by Samuel Orcutt dated 1891 page 16-17: in the New Haven Probate Records concerning Jonas Tomlinson's will, the June 1693 deposition of William Tomlinson, aged about 50 years, on November 1692 he heard Jonas Tomlinson, of Derby, County of New Haven say and declare his last will.

See "History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield" by Donald Lines Jacobus, page 611-612 at NEHGS on line: born abt 1643, perhaps nephew of Henry Tomlinson, died at Derby, 9 Dec 1711. Shows his children.
