Individual Details
Harmannus Rossman
(1 Feb 1755 - )
Per page 281 of the "Koon and Coons families of eastern New York" by William Coons states Hermanus Rossman, b. Feb. 1,1755, son of George Rossman and Helena Lescher
1755 christening of Harmannus by Jurie Rosman and Lena Lesjer with witness of Harmen Koen and Antje Koen on 1 Feb 1755 at the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Linlithgo, NY found on LDS film 17735 page 67. On Heritage Quest Online "Koon and Coons Families of Eastern New Your" compiled by William Solyman Coons page 281 Hermanus Rossman, b Feb. 1, 1755.
By the way, the introduction of the given name 'Harmon' into the Bresee lines seems to have come from the Rossman line. Harmon's mother was baptized as 'Lisabeth Rosman', baptized 12 Dec 1756, Linlithgo Reformed Church, Livingston, Columbia, NY, # 0506, daughter of Jury Rosman and Helena Lescher. A brother of Elizabeth Rossman was baptized as Harmannus Rosman, baptized 01 Feb 1755, Linlithgo Reformed Church, Livingston, Columbia, NY, # 0430, parents Jurie Rosman and Lena Lesjer. I believe Harmon (Hermanus) Burzee was named for his uncle, Harmannus Rosman, his mother's brother.
