Robert Lockwood was almost certainly a brother of Edmund Lockwood. See: Robert Charles Anderson, The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Vol 2 page 1193.

"The Great Migration Begins": Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Volumes I-III; ANDREW WARD and his son: WILLIAM, born say 1632; m. by about 1664 Deborah Lockwood, daughter of Robert Lockwood (Jeffrey Ferris, who married the widow of Robert Lockwood, made payments to the children of Robert Lockwood, deceased, and one of the payments was to William Ward [ Fairfield PR 1:42, 66, 67; FOOF 1:380-81].

See "Descendants of Robert Lockwood - Colonial and Revolutionary History of the Lockwood Family in America from AD 1630" by Frederic A. Holden and E. Dunbar Lockwood dated 1889. On 11 Sept 1658 an inventory of his estate was recorded and on the 20 Oct 1658 the Fairfield court record shows his childern in the probate record per "Descendants of Robert Lockwood - Colonial and Revolutionary History of the Lockwood Family in America from AD 1630" by Frederic A. Holden and E. Dunbar Lockwood dated 1889.

1643-1646 moved to Fairfield, CT per Heritage Quest "Bennett and Allied Families - Addenda to Bullard and Allied Families" by Edgar J. Bullard dated 1931 page 31. The Savage Dictionary on page 105 mentions Robert Lockwood's wife only as Susanna. "Cemetery Transcriptions" from the NEHGS Manuscript Collection under record #958 "Sergt. Robert Lockwood, d 1658, m. Susanna St. John".
