Dear Debra,
Good to hear from you again. I have only been able to get back as far as Jacob Sellingham Sr. who was born about 1709 in Rhine Germany. Have not been able to get any further information from Germany so far. Jacob died 7 Aug 1769 Ashby, Massachusetts.
One of his sons, Henry "Hendrick" Sellingham bor 24 Aug 1735 in Germany also came to this country with his dad. Henry married Cathrine (maiden name unknown)
As far as I know.......no one has any further information then is for the Sellingham family that came to this country from Germany.

1833 death date is from Heritage Quest Revolutionary War file S43187.
1820 listed in "Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files Vol III" page 3387 by Virgil White: in 1820 Henry Sullenheim or Sallanhem, NH Line S43187, appl 28 Apr 1818 Grafton Co NH aged 78 (born 1740), in 1820 gave his age as 82 (born 1738) & had a wife age 80 and son Jacob Sallanham aged 60 (born 1760) and lived with them.
1819 listed in "Generational Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files Vol III" page 3387: Jacob Sullingham or Jacob Sullenheim, NH Line, S16545, sol enl at Thornton NH, appl 9 Apr 1819 at res of Peeling in Grafton Co. NH at which time sol's father was still living & was aged nearly 100 yrs and it was stated the father had signed his name Seuullenheim or Selingheim & that his sons signed their name Selingham, in 1819 Henry Sallanheim was of Peeling NH & had srv with Jacob Sullingham.
1818 shown on page 38 for Grafton Co., NH, on "The Pension List of 1818" as Henry Sullenheim, private, New Hampshire. Therefore death is after 1817. In "Pension Roll of 1835, New England States" @ FHC book 973M24, page 514 for Grafton Co., NH shows Henry Sullenheim receiving a pension as of 1 Oct 1818 being age 94 (born 1724 - this has to be Henry Sr.).
1810 census for Stewartstown, Coos Co., NH, shows Henry Sullingham age 45+ (born before 1765) living with two females, one age 26-44 and the other 45+. Living close by is his son Henry Jr. and his family. His other son, Jacob Selingham, is found living in Peeling, Grafton Co., NH.
1800 census for Stuartstown, Grafton Co., NH, shows Henry Sellenham as one of two males, one age 26-44 and one age 45+ (this must be Henry Jr, who is not yet married and Henry Sr), plus two females one age 16-25 and the other 45+. Page 653 of the "History of Coos County" by Georgia Drew Merrill (via Heritage Quest) shows the first tax inventory in 1800 for Stewartstown, NH: Henry Sullingham is taxed on one poll, two oxen, four cows, one two-year-old, nineteen acres improved, and seventy one acres unimproved land; H. Sullingham, Jr. one poll and one horse (or ox). This establishes father and son relationship with Henry Jr being age 26-44 and Henry Sr 45+. Page 652 of the same source, Henry Sullingham was elected fence viewer at Stewartstown's first town meeting in March, 1800. Page 654 shows settlers before 1800 including a Henry Sullingham on settlers lot #1. Also found in this census is the other son, Jacob Sellenham, living in Thornton, Grafton Co., NH.
1793 Oct 20th Elijah Benton married a Sally Sellingham at Stewartstown, Coos Co., NH. This may be a daughter of Henry Sr. See "David Benton, Jr. and Sarah Bingham: their ancestors and descendants and other ancestral lines" by John Hogan Benton dated 1906, page 10, found at Heritage Quest Online.
1790 census for Thorton, Grafton Co., NH, shows Jacob Selingham as head of household being over age 16 with 5 males under age 16 and one female. (Therefore he was born before 1774.)
1783 - Per "Gazetteer of Grafton Co, NH 1709-1886" by Hamilton Child (from Heritage Quest Online) his son, Jacob Lelingham (Sr.), was a Revolutionary soldier who came to Thornton about 1783.
1775 settled in Thorton about this time per e-mail dated 13 May 1997 from Brenda Drowne (Jeeneology@aol.com): "According to some info from my grandmother's records, there was a Henry Sellingham that settled with his sons Henry Jr. and Jacob in Thorton, NH about 1775. Henry Jr. married Amy Brainard and lived in Stewartstown, NH. They had 5 children. Jacob married in Plymouth, NH, 14 Sept 1781 to Hannah Torrey. They lived in Thornton and Woodstock, NH. They had 9 children. They were both in Col. Scannell's Continental Regiment during the Revolution. This info was taken from p. 625 s. Stearns, 1906, of Plymouth, New Hampshire." Per "Rolls of the Soldiers in the Revolutionary War 1775 to 1783" compiled by John E. Goodrick dated 1904, page 658, found at Heritage Quest Online, Henry Sullingham listed in Muster Roll from 26 Nov 1775 to 30 Jan 1776 at camp near Quebec of Capt. Charles Nelson's Company in Major John Brown's Detachment.
1724-1740 birth based on the "Pension Roll of 1835" Vol I, New England States (973M24) which shows a Henry Sullenheim in the N.H. cont'l line receiving a pension in 1818 at age 94 (born 1724). Based on the 1810 census shown above, he was born before 1765. Based on the 1800 census shown above he was born before 1755. In 1820, shown above, age was 78 in 1818 (born 1740). Germany as place of birth based on a letter dated 21 August 1934 discussing Henry Sullenheim file S43187 and Jacob Sillingham file S16345.

Henry Sullenheim war record found at Heritage Quest Online, Revolutionary War Search, roll 782 image 641, pension claim file S43187. In that file is a letter dated 21 August 1934 which describes his service as enlisted in May, 1778, in New Hampshire, served as a private in Captain Daniel Livermore's company, Colonel Scammell's New Hampshire regiment, of which Henry Dearborn was Lieutenant Colonel, was in the battle of Newtown against the Indians and was discharged sometime in April or May, 1780.Revolutionary War Pension
