Reumen Harriman and wife, Mehitabel Putnam removed to Hampstead soon after their marriage, to the farm purchased by his grandfather, Nathaniel Harriman (? his grandfather was Matthew Harriman). On that farm in a burial lot at the southerly corner, walled around, containing fifteen or twenty rods, Reumen, wife Mehitabel and their colored servant, Philo, are buried .
