Source "Van Deursen Family" found at New England Ancestors.org. 100 JOHANNES VAN DEUSEN, son of (36) Robbert Van Deusen and Christiana Roorbach of Livingston; bp at Kinder-hook April 14, 1728; m a 1753, FYTJE (SOPHIA) ROORBACH, bp at Livingston Feb. 9, 1734; dau of R. Roorbach and Tabitha. Johannes Van Deusen was a tenant at Livingston Manor from 1767 until later than 1784 (Memo. from rent book). In 1782 he is given credit on account for 41/2 sacks of wheat "DD at Ancram" by his brother James. Prior to 1792 he was a Deacon in the Reformed Church at Copake, and again in 1795. During the Revolution he served in the Tenth Regt., Albany Co. Militia (Land Bounty Right).
