Emigration23 Mar 1831 aboard the "Palambam" as one of 50 orphan girls from the Cork Foundling Hospital, sent out to take up duties as domestic servants. She was only 15 years old. The ship also carried 144 female prisoners. They arrived in Port Jackson 31 July 1831. On arrival she was sent to the orphan school, Parramatta. She was later assigned to John Betts, Samuel Marsden's son-in-law - Cork, County Cathair Chorcaigh, Ireland
