There is supposed to be a tombstone beside Griffith J. Rowland for Margaret Rowland, wife of Griffith J. Rowland, died September 20 1886, aged 74 years 11 months and 18 days. The death notice in The Indiana Progress dated 14 October 1886 gives her date of death as 22 September 1886. Her will when it was probated on 25 October 1886 gives her date of death as 21 September 1886.Endnotes
