Probate
William F. Deshong wrote his will on 11 April 1866 and named Daniel P. Deshong and his son, David D. Deshong, as executors. Jas. A. Harris and John S. Mellott witnessed his will. It was probated on 24 April 1866.He mentions the following children in his will to whom he leaves property/money: James W. Deshong, Paul W. Deshong, David D. Deshong, William W. Deshong, Abraham Deshong, Levina married to D. B. D. Hess, Catherine married to Rheuben Hann, Margaret Deshong, and Elen married to Michael Mellott. He owned extensive property at the time of his death.
His will does not mention his wife Sarah Ann or his daughter Sophia.
